Regardless of the size of the recreational craft (zeesenboot, small wooden sailboat or dinghy), all sailors enjoy the thrill of being first across the finish line. Wustrow is home to several regattas every summer - and each is accompanied by a themed festival with children's activities, music, and culinary specialities.
Whereas the impressive Wustrow Zeesboot Regatta takes place on the first weekend in July, the Fischland Regatta for traditional small wooden sailboats is held on the last weekend in July.
