Refreshing waters

"In summer, the beach first and foremost belongs to the bathers!"

This announcement, first made in 1933, still has top priority in the seaside resort of Wustrow today. The town‘s 6-km-long and up to 30-m-wide fine sandy beach is the perfect setting for a relaxing seaside holiday. Regular water quality testing, textile and nude beach sections, wicker beach chair rental and a 240-m-long pier make spending quality time at the beach a breeze.

A special feature of the beach in Wustrow is the extended shallow water area around the breakwaters – a great place for children and non-swimmers to go in for a dip. This section of the beach is also supervised by DLRG volunteer lifeguards during the summer months.
