The German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) invites all visitors to its annual Pier Festival on the last Sunday in August. In addition to an open house at the sea rescue base, there are exciting events and an arts and crafts market. The sea rescuers demonstrate various rescue exercise along the Baltic Sea coast.
